PEARTREE LIFE: Experiencing Languages

Let the good times roll!

The best thing about Peartree summer? The excursions! In July and August we have one full day excursion every week open to all students, usually on Saturday and sometimes on Sunday too. So far this summer we have visited Bath, Oakwood Theme Park, and owl sanctuary (my clear favourite), Caerphilly Cheese Festival, the beaches of the Gower Peninsula and last weekend was Porthkerry Park and Barry Island and despite some drizzle* in the morning and a slightly ‘wet’ lunch, it was one of the most enjoyable excursions I have ever been on.

Take a look at the photos and you will see why! All the photos can be viewed on Facebook. I can’t wait for this Saturday - Bristol Balloon Fiesta… are you coming with us?

*What does ‘drizzle’ mean? Check out last week’s blog post! - "Rain rain go away, come along another day"

Is it a lesson? Is it a tutorial? No, it's COFFEE TIME!

Actually, on Friday 31st our fortnightly information gathering in Calabrisella was very much like a tutorial, as students decided to bring along their notepads and workbooks and ask the kind of grammar questions that keep you awake at night... What a great way to talk about participle clauses and sentence positions of adverbs-over the finest coffee in Canton!

Coffee Time is open to all our students every other Friday at 12:30. Come along and SPEAK ENGLISH- about anything you like!
